I challenge this. In most districts that means effectively no choice, since the dominant party will always win. Sometimes you’ll even get two candidates from the same party, but the less popular party!

If Approval Voting topically puts two candidates from the same party in the general, that gives the less popular party’s voters the chance to actually influence the outcome.
