my political platform:

• electoral reform, particularly approval voting, score voting, STAR voting, and sortition/election-by-jury
• efficient taxes: we should only tax negative externalities (robust carbon and tax on the pollution from cars including tire and brake dust) and land rents. no sales/VAT/income tax or anything of that nature.
• UBI (to replace virtually all other social programs, with the exception of universal healthcare) ~20k
• fund it by printing money (this is fine because it will automatically push up land values and the price of pigovian taxes)
• abolish zoning
• abolish public parking like Japan
• open borders
• privatize roads wherever possible. charge tolls otherwise.
• massive cycling infrastructure
• enormous increase in the use of nuclear power
